Premiere of Paciferka: A timeless tale in motion

On a warm summer evening in the pleasant outdoor setting of EPICenter Nova Gorica, MN Dance Company together with ZRC SAZU premiered Paciferka, a new creation inspired by the Slovenian folk tale of the same name.

The production reimagines a timeless story through the language of contemporary dance, where movement, narration, and music come together to create an intimate and emotionally rich experience. Rooted in Slovenian cultural heritage, Paciferka explores themes of love, loss, innocence, and transformation, inviting audiences to rediscover a traditional tale from a fresh artistic perspective.

The performance was warmly received by the audience, who embraced this unique encounter between folklore and contemporary performing arts. Set beneath the open sky, the premiere created a memorable atmosphere that perfectly complemented the poetic world of the performance.

Paciferka was directed and choreographed by Michal Rynia and Nastja Bremec Rynia, with narration by Renata Lapanja, music by Andrea Pandolfo, and dance performances by Petra Seruga and Nathan Dhugues.

We sincerely thank everyone who joined us for this special evening and shared the premiere with us.
