Within – Beyond had a sold-out pre-premiere at the Open Dance Stage as part of Festival Lent in Maribor, marking the first public presentation of our new contemporary dance diptych.
The evening was met with a warm and enthusiastic response from the audience, making it a memorable beginning for this new creation. We are delighted to share some of the first moments from the performance, beautifully captured by Marko Pigac – MP Produkcija.
Our heartfelt thanks go to JSKD Maribor for the invitation and their generous hospitality. It was a pleasure to present our work as part of one of Slovenia’s most renowned summer festivals.
Produced by MN Dance Company in co-production with SNG Nova Gorica, Within – Beyond explores the relationship between the inner and outer dimensions of human existence. The diptych brings together two choreographic perspectives: Within, created by Michal Rynia and Nastja Bremec Rynia, delves into the intimate landscape of the individual, while Beyond, choreographed by Miloš Isailović, expands the focus towards human connection and the spaces that lie beyond the self.
We are grateful for such an inspiring beginning to the journey of Within – Beyond and are now looking forward to its official premiere at SNG Nova Gorica.
